Meetings: 

The Chairman of the subcommittee met with the consultants preparing the EIS Socio-economic portion. Also in attendance were Maria Connelley, David Okada, and Mary Okada.

Public outreach:

The Chairman appeared on the television show, “Good Question”.

The Chairman and Nora Camacho (GHURA, planner) joined Tony Lamorena on K-57 for his CMTF talk show. 

In both instances, much of the information was focused on the housing market and the relevance to the local residents. i.e. Chairman expressed the need to purchase homes now, as home prices are expected to increase.
 
Comprehensive Housing Study: The RFP was announced and the deadline for proposal submissions is February 29, 2008.

2010 Budget Requests: Government of Guam agencies have been informed and will be working with BBMR representatives on budget.

Agency Reports: Department of Land Management, Guam Housing Corporation, Chamorro Land Trust Commission and Guam Ancestral Lands Commission have indicated that there is nothing new to report.
 

Monthly Meetings:

The next monthly meeting is scheduled for March 11, 2007. This is a deviation from our regularly scheduled monthly meeting (1st Thursday of each month) due to the Guam Industry Forum.
