C/MTF Activity:


•    Finalized draft of FY 2010 Budget and Justification Document for military expansion needs of Subcommittee.

•    Developed Areas of Expertise Document and Work Tasks Document for the proposed JGPO EIS supplemental funding.

•    Participated in JGPO Partnering Meetings July 29 to 31 held at Saipan and Tinian.

•    Participated in August 1 Workshop hosted by JGPO at Top of the Mar with military planners and regulatory agencies on Guam and included Guam infrastructure planners in the group.

•    Participated in bi-weekly JGPO Partnering Steering Committee conference calls.

•    Participated in Natural Resources Subcommittee.

•    Reviewed latest JGPO pre-decisional plans.

•    Coordinated with US EPA on concerns over NEPA process and permitting as applied to Military projects on Guam.




Other Activities with DOD

•    Leading Guam response on monitoring of radioactive releases from DOD activities and consulted with US EPA on this.

•    Consulted with Navy on Kilo Wharf permits and monitoring.

•    Made joint inspections with US EPA on Guam DOD facilities.

•    Provided input to Navy Integrated Natural Resources Management Plan.

•    Participated in Guam Restoration Advisory Boards for Navy and Air Force.


   
Upcoming Activities:

•    Review of latest JGPO decisions on NEPA Process.

•    Review of latest updates on military plans.

•    Plan for baseline studies and impact assessment of CVN berthing     developments.

•    Coordinate with US EPA to provide NEPA training on Guam for     Subcommittee members.  Tentative dates November 17 to 21.

•    Revision of environmental regulations to better apply to DOD projects.

•    Streamlining of permitting processes as applied to military activities.

•    Involvement with public during Village Meetings, radio show, etc.

•    DOD/US EPA/Guam EPA Semi-Annual Environmental Forum Meeting on     Guam.

•    JGPO quarterly Partnering  Meeting.
 
•    Possible DOD supplemental funding arrangements.
