Monthly meeting of Environmental Subcommittee held, as scheduled, last Wednesday of the month on March 26, 2008 at Guam EPA Conference Room.  Agenda covered is appended.  In spite of a series of three successful progressive notifications in advance by email, attendance was poor.  Attendees were limited to representatives of Guam EPA, Guam Coastal Management Program, Navy, and UOG.

Gov. Guam Agencies Participation: 

Representatives seem to lack time to be involved.  They have not indicated conflicts over meeting schedules.  The Environmental Subcommittee can continue to forward information to those on membership list, but will need to reconfirm their level of participation and most suitable monthly meeting times.

Action Item: 

Contact previous participants in Environmental Subcommittee meetings and request their confirmation that they wish to continue receiving information and materials and their preferred meeting times.

•    Issuance of Water Quality Certification for Kilo Wharf expansion
•    Input to Natural Resources Subcommittee draft Strategic Plan, due early April.
•    Review of latest JGPO predecisional plans
•    Involvement with private, public, GovGuam and Federal representatives in Earthweek and related activities up to April 26 festival at Ypao
•    Preparation for JGPO Partnering and  Environmental Forum Meetings on Guam in May, tentatively May 20 to 22.
